Customer’s Complain is our major Concern but sometimes reverse is the case
Here’s why:
On a beautiful-busy late afternoon, last week, a newly purchased car (unregistered Direct Tokunbo) owned by one Mr. Dayo drove into our workshop with the complaint of his trunk, doors not working, and Suspension noise. As he speaks and I listen keenly, I couldn’t help but notice a continuous white smoke which drew my attention, I asked if that was his only complaint (the one he mentioned) and he said Yes.
I asked if he knew his car was smoking and his answer was yes…that he just replaced the engine and was told the smoke will go after a few days…
further questions aroused because as a Car doctor you must ask questions to get a history of previous work done before you start your diagnosis
Now listen to this carefully…
Autolady- How long have you driven it after the Engine Installation?
Mr. Dayo – Five Days now
Autolady – But Sir, this Car is still new… too clean to go through all these repairs, or were you aware of Engine Problems before purchase?
Mr. Dayo – No, the engine knocked two days after purchase, I took the car for Tyre change & Alignment but on a test drive after alignment by the Tyre salesman, the engine Knocked. I noticed the Tyre salesman was not coming back and I called him before he told me that the car stopped and couldn’t start again. I called a mechanic and he confirmed the engine has knocked and also told me that the engine has been worked on before I bought the car.
I will keep the Story of the newly replaced engine (story for another day) aside and focus on the Newly Purchase car because we have two different issues here…
Let me tell you the hidden secrets that you may not be aware of…
- Before you spend your hard-earned money on a used car, we advise a Pre-purchase inspection which is carried out for you to have peace of mind after purchase.
- A Pre-purchase inspection saves you money on costly repairs.
- Not everyone is honest and many people will sell you a car without disclosing any of the problems they know exist.
Until now, only a handful of lucky car owners have escaped the regret that follows when they buy an uninspected vehicle…especially the unregistered Direct Tokunbo.
Here are The Benefits of Pre-Purchase Inspection
- A pre-purchase inspection is to help you save a lot of money when buying a used car because you won’t be buying a car with unknown problems. It’s good if the seller clearly states that there are certain issues with the car they have set the price accordingly because there can be far more hidden faults than initially stated by the seller.
If you know the car needs repairs and the costs involved, then you can decide if this particular car is worth the overall costs of purchase price + repair bill.
- A Pre-purchase inspection helps you negotiate a better deal especially if the seller has not fully informed you of all problems with the vehicle.
In Autolady Garage, we help provide a pre-purchase inspection service for your about-to-buy vehicle to help you reveal some hidden facts about the vehicle, and ensure you are making the right choice. Contact us now (0705558051) for inspection on your brand new and Tokunbo vehicles of any make.
